Queen Elizabeth National Park

The Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of the outstanding treasurers of Uganda, and has been designated a Biosphere Reserve for Humanity under UNESCO auspices.  It borders on Lake Edward and Lake George as well as the Kazinga Channel, in the western area of the Great Rift Valley.
The Park Contains, elephant, buffalo, hippo, Uganda kob, various buck and antelope, as well as baboons, chimpanzees and tree climbing lion which are usually found in the Ishasha region.  Over 500 bird species have also been identified here, making it a Mecca for bird -watchers. The launch trip along the Kazinga Channel between Lakes George and Edward is a memorable method of game watching and one of the most rewarding experiences of a visit to the Park.

Day 1  - Queen Elizabeth N.P.

Proceed to Mbarara for lunch at Lake View Hotel.  After lunch continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park which is home to a variety of wildlife including elephant, lion, hippo, buffalo, Uganda  kob, waterbuck and many more.  Arrive in the afternoon and settle in at Mweya Safari Lodge.  Late afternoon game viewing and visit to the spectacular crater area.  Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge.

Day 2  -   Queen Elizabeth N. P.
Before sunrise, drive to Kyambura gorge to look for the chimpanzees. The gorge is also home of a variety of other primates including the spectacular black and white Columbus monkey, Red Tail and Vervet monkeys.  Birdlife is also varied and abundant. In the afternoon you will be taken on a cruise along the scenic Kazinga channel.  Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge.

Day 3   -  Kampala

Game viewing before breakfast after which you return to Kampala
