Murchison Falls Safari

Murchisons Falls National Park is the largest and one of the most spectacular of all national parks in Uganda with the largest concentration of wildlife.  Here you find the awe-inspiring Murchinson Falls, where the River Nile hurls itself through a narrow crevice and then plunges 40 meters (130 ft) in one breathtaking leap.  A launch trip upstream to the Falls is one of the highlights.  Wildlife, including elephant, hartebeest, giraffe, buffalo, crocodile, countless antelopes and birds are seen at the water’s edge as the launch glides along

Day 1  -  Murchinson Falls

Leave Kampala and drive northwest through the scenic landscape to Masindi  Hotel for lunch. Proceed to the national park, which offers one of the most spectacular scenes in Africa the magnificent Murchinson Falls, where the Nile thunders over the falls on its 5000- km journey to the Mediterranean Sea.  Overnight at the Inn on the Nile or Parraa Bandas.

Day 2  - Murchinson Falls

In the morning you go on a cruise on the river Nile to the bottom of the falls.  The force of the water is so powerful that fish are swept over the falls and end up an easy meal for the many crocodiles waiting along the riverbanks. Spend the afternoon viewing in search of Giraffe, Hartebeest, Eland, Oribi, Reed Buck and several other species.  Overnight at the Inn on the Nile or Paraa Bandas.

Day 3  - Kampala

After breakfast take a last and closer look at the falls from the top before returning to Kampala.
