Nights can be cold in the higher altitudes especially during our winter of June to October. Rainy seasons begin late March to May. Some light rains can be expected in October to November but they all say ''as unpredictable as the weather''.

Buggage:

Luggage on safari should be kept minimum because space in vehicles and light aircraft is limited. This should be preferably in soft canvas bags. Excess baggage will be stored at clients expence.

We emphasise on decent  and comfortable clothes. Most lodges and hotels have swimming pools so bring your swim wear. sunglasses and hats to protect yourself from the sun. Pack warm items for the chilly nights and if you are destined for any of our mountain peaks.  Comfortable clothes are needed for nature walks and trecks. Some hotels and lodges have a dresscode for their restaurants but this is liberal.

Health:

Always consult your doctor before departure. Malaria is endemic in certain areas of East Africa. Carry insect repellant and speak to your doctor about what prophlactics may suit you. Most lodges and hotels provide mosquito nets for you to sleep under.

Water:

Drink boiled or bottled water. Bottled water can be found in all supermarkets, shops and restaurants.

Security:

Africa in no different from anwhere else in the world. By using common sence you should travel without an insident. Take care of your valuables, carry small amounts of money and avoid wearing expencive jewellery when walking in towns and villages.
